Feeling stuck? Lost? Disillusioned?
Are you looking at yourself, your relationships, or your life and realizing they’re not what you imagined they would be?
Do you want something better?
My passion is helping people move through what’s standing in the way of a fuller, more meaningful life. I believe therapy can help people get where they long to be — within themselves, in their marriages, in their families, and in their work.
We all deserve a life that is fulfilling.

Individual Therapy for Adults
I work with adults, both men and women, who are experiencing life transitions that have left them feeling stuck, frustrated, and anxious. These areas of "stuckness" may have left them feeling relationally disconnected, unsatisfied in their careers, and worried that they are repeating the same unhelpful patterns. In individual therapy we will learn the real reasons behind your struggles and find solutions that authentically fit who you are.
Couples Counselling and Marriage Therapy
I also specialize in couples counselling and work with couples who are feeling disconnected, frustrated, and longing for more. Communication issues, intimacy and sex challenges, and resentment have filled the space between two people who want better. In couples therapy we will explore what has tripped you up and what can be done to get back to the relationship that originally brought you so much joy.
Neurodiverse Couples Therapy (ADHD & Autism in Relationships)
As a neurotypical person married to a neurodiverse partner, I understand firsthand the complexity of relationships shaped by different neurotypes. I help neurodiverse couples explore how ADHD and autism impact their dynamic and equip them with tools to begin learning each other’s language.

Therapy can feel intimidating — whether you’re brand new or returning after a difficult experience. So how do I approach it differently? I bring my full humanity into the counselling room. In therapy, we should be able to laugh, cry, wrestle with hard things, and even swear — but most importantly, we should be real.
If you’re looking for a perfectly polished professional who hides behind clinical language and a clipboard, I might not be your guy.
But if you want to sit across from a genuine human who leads with curiosity, empathy, and a bit of well-placed humour, we’ll probably work well together.
-
Like you, my life is beautifully complicated. In just the past few years, I’ve married a neurodiverse widow with five incredible daughters, moved to Cochrane, bought a home, completed my Master’s degree, and stepped into life as a practicing therapist.
I care deeply about people — their stories, their resilience, and the journeys they want to take.
And when I’m not in session, you’ll likely find me hiking, whitewater rafting, or watching corgi videos.

Ben’s FAQs
-
Not at all. Many couples come in before things reach that point. In fact, coming before things completely break down increases the chances for therapy to heal your relationship! Plus couples counselling is about more than “fixing” things, it can be about making things better than ever.
-
No. I’m not on either partner’s side—I’m on the side of the relationship. My role is to help both of you feel heard and to work toward a healthier dynamic. Unless one of you is a Toronto Maple Leafs fan…
-
Yes. Sex therapy is a space where you can talk about intimacy, desire, performance concerns, or mismatched needs without judgment. These are incredibly common issues, even if they’re hard to talk about. As Salt-N-Pepa once said “Let’s talk about sex baby”!
-
Absolutely. Many couples go through periods of little or no sexual connection. Therapy can help you understand what’s gotten in the way and how to rebuild intimacy at a pace that feels safe.
-
Not at all. Individuals come to explore their relationship with sex, desire, identity, or past experiences that may be impacting intimacy.
Couples & Sex Therapy
Neurodivergent Relationships
-
Yes. I specialize in working with couples where one or both partners are neurodivergent. We focus on understanding differences in communication, emotional processing, and needs—without trying to change either partner. Neither of you is “broken”!
-
In neurodivergent relationships, differences in how each partner experiences and processes the world can create cycles that leave couples feeling stuck. Understanding those differences creates empathy and gives us the ability to come up with solutions that work for both partners.
-
Yes. That transition can bring relief, confusion, and re-evaluation of the relationship. Therapy can help you both make sense of it and adjust together
-
It can look like knowing something isn’t working in your life but not knowing how to change it. You might feel unmotivated, disconnected, or like you’re going through the motions. It also might show up in feelings of anxiety or depression or through behaviours like drinking or “checking out”.
-
That’s enough. You don’t need a clear explanation to start therapy. We can figure it out together. We will be like Sherlock Holmes and Watson and investigate the root cause of your stuckness.
Feeling “Stuck” (Individual Therapy)
Family Estrangement
-
Yes. Estrangement is often complicated and emotionally layered. It can involve grief, relief, guilt, or all of the above.
-
No. Therapy is about helping you understand what’s right for you—not pushing you toward a specific outcome. Family is…complicated
